Cash
The customer pays at the till and the till issues a fiscal receipt.
Cash, card or advance, with a fiscal receipt, in two scenarios: pay then ERP, or ERP, picking, pay. And what happens to the payment status.
How a showroom order gets paid depends on two things: the payment method the customer chooses and the scenario you work in. The "Customer orders" module supports three payment methods (cash, card, advance payment) and two scenarios; at the end the till issues the fiscal receipt, and the payment status reaches your ERP system.
This article explains each element briefly and shows when each scenario fits. The steps at the till are on the checkout and payment page.
The customer pays at the till and the till issues a fiscal receipt.
The same flow, paid by card.
The customer paid an amount earlier and the order is settled from that advance.
The payment method or methods are then passed to the ERP along with the amount and the receipt data. The ERP receives the methods that were used.
Advance payment is used when the customer has deposited an amount earlier. At the till the order loads by code and the cashier chooses to pay from that advance, rather than paying again in cash or by card. The "advance" payment method is then passed to the ERP like any other.
In this scenario the customer pays at the till and only the paid order enters the ERP. It fits when goods are taken straight from the showroom: no warehouse preparation is needed, so there is no point sending an unpaid order to the ERP.
The consultant issues the order and gets the code.
The code is scanned at the till and the customer pays.
The till issues the receipt.
The paid order enters the ERP.
The stage is also visible on the customer screen.
The order is closed.
Here the order goes to the ERP immediately, the warehouse picks it and only then does the customer pay. It fits when goods are prepared in the warehouse. When picking is done, the ERP itself sends the "ready" signal and the customer sees on the screen that they can pay.
| Scenario | Fits when | Order path |
|---|---|---|
| A. Pay, then ERP | goods are taken straight from the showroom | order → payment at the till → paid order in the ERP |
| B. ERP, picking, pay | goods are prepared in the warehouse | order → ERP → picked → payment at the till → payment status in the ERP |
The scenario is chosen at implementation and can be changed in settings. You do not have to choose "for good": if the way you work changes, change the setting.
At the till the order loaded by code becomes a fiscal receipt, like any sale. The receipt data is passed on to the ERP. More about the code: the order pickup code.
Right after payment the module sends the ERP the amount, the payment methods, the fiscal receipt data and, if needed, an external accounting code set in the till settings. The ERP closes the order and accounting sees the payment without delay. If the ERP is temporarily unavailable, sending is retried automatically and every exchange is recorded in the log.
