Frequently asked questions: customer orders in a showroom
Short answers about scenarios, the ERP link, the till, documents and the customer screen.
This page collects the frequently asked questions about customer orders in a showroom: how the module connects to the ERP, how payment works and what the customer sees on the screen. The overview is on the home page, details on ERP integration and implementation are on their own pages, and if your answer is missing, get in touch.
Who is the module for?
Distributors that run a showroom: samples on the shelves, goods in the warehouse. The order is built next to the customer and passes through the warehouse and the till.
What equipment is needed?
A mobile terminal for each consultant, a printer for the pickup code (desktop or mobile), a till with a scanner and, for the customer screen, a TV with HDMI plus a PC or mini PC with a browser. Recommendations are on the Equipment page.
Which working scenario should I choose?
"Payment, then ERP" fits when goods are taken straight from the showroom. "ERP, picking, payment" fits when goods are prepared in the warehouse. The choice is made at implementation and can be changed in settings.
How does it connect to the company ERP?
Over web services or JSON, depending on what the ERP supports. Details are agreed at the demo, on your own data.
What happens if the ERP is unavailable?
Sending is retried automatically. Every exchange stays in the log, so you can see what was sent and what was received.
Who confirms that the goods are picked?
The ERP: when the order is ready in the warehouse, it sends the "Picked" signal by itself. The time is stored in the order and the customer sees on the screen that they can pay.
Can a customer stay anonymous?
Yes, the order can carry just the code. Individuals can be found by phone or name, or created on the spot; companies are found by name or fiscal code.
Which units of measure can be used?
The consultant enters the quantity in the unit that suits the product: square metres, pieces or packs.
How does the customer pay?
At the till, in cash, by card or from a previously paid advance. The cashier scans the slip or types the code, and products and prices load by themselves.
Does the payment status reach the ERP?
Yes, right after payment: the amount, the form of payment, the fiscal receipt data and, if needed, the external accounting code. If the ERP does not respond, sending is retried.
Can documents be reprinted?
Yes, from the order card or from the terminal, by code or from the day's order list. Every print and reprint stays in the log. No print task is created for an electronic waybill.
Are customer names visible on the screen?
For individuals the name can be shown shortened, for example "Ion R.", for privacy.
What does the showroom screen look like, and how is it connected?
Each order appears with its code, name and a colour-coded stage, and the screen refreshes within a second or two. Open the /tv address on the TV, enter the displayed code in the administration area, and the screen remembers the connection.
Can we choose the screen colours and texts?
Yes: themes and colours, frames and backgrounds, zones, the text for each stage, sound, animation and display language (Romanian or Russian). All of it is done in the web interface, without programming.
How do we start?
With a demo on your own data. Then we pick the scenario, connect the ERP and put the screen in the showroom; the steps are described on the How we implement page.
